    The DPA Enlightenment is a good little DAC, with a lot of the qualities you mention. Cheap second had, so you should be able to get one for well under £400 if you can find one.

    Should get one, if there are any about for £150 or thereabouts, easy to sell on if it isn't for you. Really liked mine whilst I had it.

    Does anyone know about the internal DAC in Myryad MDP 500 digital processor compared to external DACs?

    My option is to buy Myryad MP100 preamp + external DAC or MDP500 preamp with DAC for use in 2 channel mode only with the MA240 power amp and Tannoy R2 speakers.
