First system advice please - £1.5k to spend

the only thing i would like to add is that if i were you i would
leave a bit of your budget for cabling and stands.

you can get decent stands for under 100 pounds. something
like atacama nexus, for example.

cabling will make some difference, even if you don't spend a
lot of money in cables, getting something more than the bog
standard plastic kit is a good idea. You'll need speaker cable
and one interconnect cable, so make sure you budget for that
when you are adding your numbers up. Remember that
depending on the cable you buy, you may need to get the
plugs for them on the side, and they are not the cheapest
thing on earth (especially if you are biwiring, as you will need
eight plugs per cable).
