..or in other words what you feel is right...

I'm convinced its a path thats worth following for true enjoyment of music without question, so its seems are a lot of other individuals after hearing it. (Not All I might add :D )
Its no LESS or MORE Valid that an out and out HIFI presentation rig or a total PRaT rig, if that person prefers that over everything else. Wm

Fair enough, actually great but then I would also avoid words like:
"But totally intact (not disasmmebled or disjointed), top to bottom eveness of the sound"
"no one set of frequenices showing prefernce over another",
"No artifical staging tricks"
"realistic dynamics",
"accurate bass"
"focused and coherent"
"out of time"
"CORRECT space"
"cohesion of sound"

remember it is only your own feeling.
;)

I said the other day we should have a non hifi group who are concerned with music first and foremost, would save alot of confusion

I dunno if it would. To me Hi-Fi is about hearing the music. I like a Hi-Fi with tight deep bass, well balanced flat response, detailed etc.. but only because this means I can hear the performance better and hear the music.

I think Tone is kind of describing the music, not the Hi-Fi. This leads me to think what he likes in Hi-Fi is one that does not lack in any area and lets you hear whats on the recording. At least 'tight bass' means something. Cohesive sound is just so meaningless except that the system isn't lacking in any large way to distract you from the performance.

Not possible with pmc's and Brystons sir

depends what you feed them with sir. do you prefer some salt on your hat or will you eat it plain?

I assume only very highly priced cables can achieve this elusive effect? ;) Step right up... step right up...

Not my experience of Tony's world picture. The cables and power conditioning et al are simply a means to an end. The mods, the listening the trying the testing its all about being more immersed in the music and not about willy waving or pontificating or defending ones purchase decision. Just my experience of the Tonester.

The cables prices say it all... No cable is worth that much. I think we should blind test tonys wires against something a bit cheaper and see who can tell the difference.

Good description.

Hey I paid tony £1000/m2 for that tin foil! Its made my stools more coherent - no lag or disjointed looseness at all ;)

"a natural flowing pace that is neither forced nor mechanically contrived"

I've yet to hear any Bryston/PMC combo produce an acceptable sound with referce to the above terms, even when feed with a 'proper signal'
Nick, do your self a favor dump the stuff and accquire something more up to the task.
I'll be the best orgasmic sensation your have this decade
