That's beautiful Gromit, but How did you and Rob get the blue "flames"?

Dev - it may be a characterstic of the 6550's (KT88's seem to have a similar glow). Such a long shutter exposure does tend to bring out the blue though, they're not that vivid in real life. The pic was taken whilst the room was in almost complete darkness, bar a very small table lamp in the next room (with the connecting door open).

The EL84's on my KEL are just the lovely 'come home to a real fire' orange glow. Will try and take some pictures of the wee'un later. :)

Not as much colour pyrotechnics as the A30, but rather sweet I think :)

It is indeed GD - approx 8 sec exposure and 'pull' the zoom in. Didn't work as well as hoped as I've lost the SLR mount adaptor for my tripod (got the camera resting on a pile of books). As a result it's a bit jerky.

Very nice indeed Dean. An Italian take on Audio Note?

I'd like to see them glowing in the dark.

    Hi Dev,

    It looks that way.

Definitive audio, who do Kondo, are selling them. Also I'm sure Peter Qvortrup used to import these in the late 80s early 90s.

These are my current power amps - 40wpc OTL monoblocks from a small Chinese company, lovingly rebuilt and serviced by vintage experts Champ Audio here in the UK. Wonderful things!
