Oh dear! Ive seen it and heard of it quite a few times. One of my uncles did most of his 30 yrs police service in the traffic division and he's always said its amazing how often it happens. The usual unfortunate ones are those who just pull the handbrake on with depressing the release, thus smoothing the ratchet edges. Very nice car by the way, I'll have a boxster when I settled properly.
