hi, quick question here!

since I leave my kit on 24/7 - does it matter if I leave my cdp on 'pause' or should I always hit the 'stop' button when not listening..? - or doesn't it make any difference?

p.s. happy new year!

cheers

Every CDPlayer I ever had continues to spin on pause with the laser primed to go, hence why you can press pause again and the music immediately starts.

I am struggling to work out why you would want to leave it on pause. I can't come back to the centre of some music after a while.

I think some Sony players even left the laser on when on, but stopped. They wore out fast!

Hit 'stop'. You will wear out the drive and laser if you don't. No reason to keep it spinning and reading...

You need to consider the laser as a consumable....it will have a finite life span. It would not be sensible to wear it out prematurely.
