Random thread deletions

View new posts facility not working

Michael, there also seems to be a problem with the 'View new posts' facility on the main page. When I try to use it, it comes up with: "Invalid search specified".

Any idea what's up?

Well, I didn't want to say anything so as not to tempt fate but in fact my host did exactly the same as last time. I asked them to upgrade me to MySQL 4.0.16, they replied "No" and then a day or two later it was done

That was 2 or 3 weeks ago and since then there hasn't been a single table corruption issue so it looks like the issue really is resolved now. Phew!

I'm going to unstick this thread now as it's no longer vital.
