    Nooo surely not !

It has a real taste of smokey jazz club to it, along with clinking glasses and the odd microwave bleep, maybe not your thing, but I would say it has values for the real jazz fan as well as those looking for a more accessible way into the genre.

Not all-non inpro stuff is by default dinner party music.

edited to add, just re-read your post, hope you like the other stuff you bought

More than that, it's very narrow minded - which is worse. Far, far worse.

thank god for that, I know I can be an ar*e, but hopefully I take an open mind to new music.

NB - Lee - I know youve told me before (maybe even twice) but I never got round to buying it. You had a stonker of an album by some spanish guitar'y type bloke. Cant remember who it was can you mate?

NNB Anybody know which 'bad plus' album is the best in their opinion ?

These Are The Vistas is the one to get. The newer one is the same record again, just not as good.

I take back my previous remark about open-mindedness.
We don't need any more half-baked Flamenco-fusion crap.
Tomatito (who actually knows how to play flamenco guitar) has just released a new album of "cante jondo". Frankly, you don't know what the guitar is capable of until you hear someone of this caliber.
    New album at Flamenco World
This is a big return to form IMHO, after nearly two decades of more -or-less barren fusion. There were doubts that the little tomato could produce the goods; that he still had the fire, the desire... I think he has, although he is a mellower personality than the young firebrand who accompagnied El Cameron 20 years ago.
