I spoke to audio-t who are the only uk stockist at the moment they say that Rega are struggling to keep up with demand. they have loads on back order. But should be in full supply in January.

He says it's dificult to describe in words how good it sounds, but it's equivalent to players costing £2000.

On that basis the saturn, which hasn't been demo'd yet (£998) should be spectacular.

could be as now, the cheaper one does 98% of what the more expensive one does. I assume that they will both use the full version of the new software.
The CD clamping system looks interesting too.

it sounds like they are using a laptop cd drive - most of those have 'ball clamps' to hold the cd / dvd.

a dealer here in Holland has got one, says it sounds as good as the jupiter.
