Revel B15a. The Revel B15a is considered by many to be the 2nd best commercially available subwoofer in the world for music (the B30 being arguably the best model). Revel are owned as you probably know by Harman International, who in turn own JBL. When Revel designed the B15a they had an enviable range of expertise and professional testing equipment/design engineers to call upon. Why is it awesome?... 1) A 1000w amplifier, capable of 1,400w on peaks 2) The sub can do an amazing 113db at 20hz 3) A 15†drive unit, with excursion capabilities of up to 3†! 4) Software and built in EQ. I've used this to get +-3db response down to 17hz in room! 5) A drive unit like no other. It's got a magnet the size and weight of Wembley stadium. 6) A sealed box, of very heavy construction. 7) RRP of £3,000. The manual gives you some idea…â€Âthis subwoofer is a 4 man liftâ€Â. They aren't bloody kidding. 2 of us managed to hoik it off the floor, hernia inducing. Why am I selling it? Well, not to buy another subwoofer, that's for sure. I want to sell this and my speakers, and then possibly do a build project. Please don't ask for details, I don't know yet. I'll sell these, then think about it. Other things I want to tell you: 1) Im the 1st owner. I bought it this year, it's still under the manufacturers warranty. 2) I have the box, the CD test disk and packaging. 3) Being the LATEST incarnation of the B15a, this actually has the amplifier module from the SUB30 (exactly the same amp and rear plate). One of the handy things this gives you is the ability to flick the voltage switch between US and European voltage. 4) The EQ is quite something. For example if you want to reduce a peak at for example 40hz – you can not only choose how much to reduce the sub's output at that level (say by 3db for example), but you can choose the width of the reduction – for example you may want to reduce from 35-45hz by 3db, or a greater or narrower margin. 5) PLEASE! Pick it up from Milton Keynes if you possibly can. The weight will make postage expensive. 6) My offer price is FIXED. If it doesn't sell to someone on here or PFM (my preference) by the 10th of October it will go on Audiogon. 7) It's a great price. There's one here for £1,800. http://www.choicehifi.com/index.asp?page=34&by=type 8) Condition: all the bits you see are like new. There is a mark on the side, out of sight. I'll take a picture for anyone interested in buying. It's negligible enough never to have bothered me. Read a review: HTML: http://www.avrev.com/equip/revelb15sub/index.html Price is a fixed and very definite £1,300. Photos will be posted soon. The pics below are just library pics from the internet. Mine is MAPLE.
Hi Could you give me the dimensions of the sub. I assume the appearance is as shown, with large black surround to the driver. I currently use a B&W CDM, but don't use it for music, as I have a lot of difficukty getting it to integrate with my speakers. I assume this works a lot better
Hi The picture at the bottom (maple) is representative of how they look. I don't know the B&W sub. With the Revel (by using the digital EQ and supplied disc) the sub has completely dissapeared, just leaving bottomless sounding clean sub-bass. I've attached a pic Cheers Chris
Don't blame you Chris - you should have bought my M22's to go with it. They only fetched £720 on ebay tonight so someone has got the bargain of a lifetime imho. I can't think of anything under £2500 that i'd prefer.
that really is cheap, U.P. Still, hopefully they will enjoy them for the brilliant speakers they are.
Congratulations on your, er, NEW sub, Bottleneck. Probably a good idea. You might have ended up missing it. :JPS:
on sale again, due to an unexpectedly expensive christmas a lower price than before - £1,200. FIXED. This is only available on the week up to Xmas, so be quick if you want it. Has box, etc all as above.
n.b. now also including sound pressure level meter, which you need to set up the sub for your room. This was bought seperately. as above, everything's included - software, test disc etc.
I know what you mean - the number of times I've sold stuff on a whim and then regretted it is no ones business. Fortunatley the two times I sold my M22's on ebay (for pathetic money as well) the wining bidder let me down so I still have them thank god

Don't do it Bottleneck - Markus is a shifty one! Can't put my finger on it but I swear he's up to something... Dunc
Sorry if it seems that's what I was implying. It wasn't. Just commenting on the previous comment. I think you're looking for a fair price.
