    Erm...

Not too sure what the whole anti BD MOvement is about. I got bored after the first few pages and left the threads alone.

But seems the trolling was started elsewhere on this thread.

So what are you saying, the RA-01 is just as good as the 1062?

If it is, then I'll cross that'un off my list....

LOL. I am not interested in how it measures though, more interested how it sounds ;)

    Now I'm even happier....

I told you, less is more...

I clearly can see why Wm try to tune his system with cables and speakers... to much truth for you, old chap?!

Paul, did u miss the whole 'null test' thread? If an amp measures perfectly in that it will sound unbelievably good ;)

Newayz, as ur in the market for a new amp, the 1 that impressed me most recently is the exposure 2010s, sounds much more controlled and powerful than the RA-01 and has a very stable and wide soundstage. Also sounds very fast, if a tad lean. I think you'll like its exciting presentation. Id dem it side by side with the RA1062, they appear to be the cream of the sub 1k crop atm
I wouldnt bother with the cyrus6, quite bright even at medium levels and loses control when turned up.

LOL, BD, you are a funny guy :D

Anyway, I had thought about the Exposure amps. Actually I would not like an amp that is too lean in the bass because the Rega's already have very fast and tight bass, so anything lean might sound too anemic (like my mates Pioneer A400 sounds when plugged into Ela's).

BTW, did I mention, it HAS to be second hand. The days of me paying full whack for hifi components is long gone I'm afraid. I've had too many "cheap" things sounding so much better than my more expensive things lately

    penance,
i wasn't trying to imply that you were ignoring but you SEEM to be encouraging lordsummit down the path of folly. i seem to remember a similar tryst with you, ak and bub a while back that didn;t turn out at all well. i'd really rather not see those sort of fireworks again so i thought i'd bring it up.

the forum seems to be going through a period of bitchyness at the moment. it reminds me of the situation that occurred with the hfc forum a few years ago that lead to the creation of groovehandle and then zerogain. similar time of year too. perhaps a 'don't drink and post' campaign would help?
i'd not like michael to get pissed off this it all and pull the plug making us all homeless again.
    cheers

I made one reply to lordsummit, i dont think that constitutes as encouragement.

Yes i was guilty before, and as you said, i should know better. I do, hence i was not encouraging lord.

    I agree with MO.

It isn't BD's fault that this place sometimes resembles Lord of the Flies. He has his own method for evaluating things, is a bit of an evangelist, has a wind-up streak about him, but at least he knows what he's after. Why people get so upset is beyond me.

There's too much ganging up on the new kids here ATM. Doesn't make it a pleasant place to visit.

Yep, I agree with Ian. In some ways though this has always been a cliquey place, so I am not that surprised.

Anyway, for those of you who had something useful to say in this thread, thanks :)
