In fairness Henry the seller wants 550 for the tuner, there aren't actually an bids for it!

Personally I think it looks vulgar.

Arguably the best of the bunch. But i suspect it will go for a tad more than £300 ;) . Seems in reasonable nick too. :)

Just hope it doesn't go wrong - those bells and whistles don't come cheap - as you point out :( . I'd be concerned about the electronics holding up over time, particularly all those presets and so on. No issues with yours Henry, other than what you mentioned?

Gary - I'm with Cooke and Dom I'm afraid! :) I just love retro hi-fi seperates, especially from the late 70's/80's. Give me silver or champagne gold any day over boring old black, although the Sansui in that picture does look pretty good in black being lit up with those VU meters - it does look like a mean machine!

Cookie - No problems at all with my B160 apart from the one mentioned, which like I said was caused by extenuating circumstances. It still remembers its presets when unplugged from the wall. Very nice, the guy who sold it to me had a Troughline 3 which he also plugged in to let me hear it, it was better than the ReVox but he was selling the ReVox and not the Troughline - ah well. The 760 is the probably the nicest of the lot as you say, being truly analog rather than sythesized tuned (but still has a digital readout).

    Yes, Yes, Yes !!!!!!!

I got it! Since the deal to buy cookiemonster's TX9800 fell through (having sold my last '9800 to Lee), I've been looking out for a tuner. I'd seen the Revox, and I have to say it really floats my boat - signal meters and a numerical readout, and all those buttons :) Yummm! It went for less than I was expecting to pay as well. Really chuffed - I'll pay him and get it sent Special Delivery so hopefully it'll be here by the middle of the week. I'm so excited, I'm getting strange looks from the better half!
