So, tell me about your 2nd system ...

.. whether in dining room, kitchen, car or bedroom, what makes up your second system, how long has it been stable, and what makes it 'OK'?

Made up mostly of cast-offs from main system plus some secondhand bargains:

AR Legend turntable with RB250 arm and Ortofon cartridge
Arcam Alpa CD player
Exposure pre-amp
Monarchy power amp
Mordaunt-Short MS20 speakers

A very 'lively' system, made livelier by the fact that the room it's in (which doubles as Mrs H's office plus computer room) is quite large, and sparsely furnished. Would probably be fatiguing as a main system, but works fine for the odd evening if the sitting room is otherwise engaged. The only downside otherwise is that the speakers are sited atop a wardrobe, and the sofa is incredibly uncomfortable!
