IIRC, then Colin means to say that he's enjoying himself with Lager and Led Zeppelin/Golden Earring.

Are these cables brand new that they need break-in? If it can help, it is advised that the signal should follow the reading direction of the brands name as printed on the cable.
Though this might be, a: pertaining to all cables, or b: utter bollocks.

the speaker cables are second hand - but I don't think they've been used in ages...and they were originally a 2*4 setup which I gather was the 2 at the amp side I have have retained that cable direction...I think!! :D

    interesting article here tho...

They've actually sat in a box on top of the fridge for a few months.
I re-discovered them while looking for something else and thought 'get them sold' :)
Their position on the fridge does not count as 'deep cryogenic treatment' however :D

They originally came to me as 4 X 7.5M - I had them chopped into 8 X 3.5M then commoned at one end for bi-wire use.
God knows in what direction this was done !!

As for that quote from the VdH site - nice too see the Dutch still partake in a bit of recreational drug use,no matter their age ;)

Another relation between Hoovers and Sunday evening could be that tv sends out sport all night, and women aren't allowed to use noisy mains pollutants. Etc. :MILD:

Just sold dozens of meters of each type in a coffeeshop and guess what they paid me with. :JPS:

AJ is actually a real nice (and most likely clean) chap.

Chord Rumour II is decent value for money. I use Isolda, but it's not much better really (on reflection of course :) ).

No more speed I'm almost there...Radar Love. :JPS:

    Golden Earring Rocks.

MY speaker cables have little arrows too, without them the elctrons don't know which way to travel.

Gotta stay cool now, gotta stay clear..

Glad they made it to the other side of the planet. By far the best rock band Holland gave birth to. Hope you're also able to enjoy their other classics (like Long blond animal, Twilight Zone, Weekend Love, Bombay).

    :D

Thats complete crop about the arrows, how the hell do electrons read the arrows when theyre on the outside of the sleeve?? And surely your cable should always point down, ie the source should be higher than the amp which should be higher than the speakers, thus gravity actually enhances the sound.......I think Im found something here!

    Dear Russ,

Ive been researching hi-fi cables and Ive decided that all cables should run vertical with the source at the top and speaker at the bottom. I'll type the white paper up and Im sure we can come to some sort of financial agreement for letting you market this amazing discovery.

    Love you.

    I.P Freely.

No no no! The speakers should be above the amp and the amp above the source so that the sound quality of the signal reaches greater heights as it progresses through the system :D

What? like cream rising to the top? or that 1 exceptional sperm that cracks the egg? you saying that only the best electrons will reach the top thus the best sound??
