It wasn't you who bought the one on ebay the other day was it? its exactly what I'm looking for in my wanted ad.... but some b*****r pipped me to it. :mad:

Its had great reviews and a huge spec but never heard it, certainly wouldn't buy new without home trial, but at the price it went on ebay the other night it might be a steal.
 
Nope it wasn't me. I just heard one at Rochester Hi-Fi today. It sounded pretty good, but as always unless it is in your own ystem you can't really tell. Sounded like it had a lot of resolution and good control. My sort of thing really!

How much did it go on eBay for? Rochester wanted £1.5K for it.
 
Bummer dude! I'm sure there will be others around. Perhaps you could import one from Korea?
 
Just thought I would add that while at Rochester Hi-Fi I listened to the new Sterling LS3/5a speakers and they sound pretty good! A little rolled off at the top and slightly boosted bass response to make up for extension but all in all a nice sound. Worth considering if you are looking for sub £1k speakers, though I think I would still go for MA GR10's.
 
Tenson, it might be worth seeing if you can find a TAG DPA32r. Very nice dac pre-amp. Yous hould be able to get one with 24/192 dacs & DAB card for less than £700. Very nice bit of kit!
