Note to Brother Sideshow:
Brother, Our prosletyzing is beginning to bear fruit. This new convert, MichaelAB, will in short time be listening to Cecil Taylor on LP through a pair of large (yet strangely Compact) British monitor loudspeakers of 1970's origin.
Viva la Causa!

Vinyl, eh? Good idea. Nuff said.

I'm not a Branch Harbethian either, but a High Priest of the Church of Active Monitors. The human sacrifice rituals are a bit messy, however.

There is still time to repent your herecy, Brother Bob :SWMBO: I and a couple of rather cute priestesses will participate in a naked late night Candomble ritual, involving the slaughter of live chickens, the smoking of large Cuban cigars, the drinking of uncut demerera rum and the playing at *very* high volume of Art Blakey's "Orgy in Rhythm" - all in an attempt to save your soul, Brother Bob.

Michael,
Let us know how you get on with Somethin' Else and Blue Train... I'm also listening to these this weekend. good to hear about the vinyl. If you do get into jazz, it's the way to go.

So, just a normal quiet night in, then?
