Some people will do anything for a day off work! Do you think felines will be able to survive the ravages of nuclear war?

The planet itself will almost certainly still be here until the sun engulfs it in its dying phases. However we are quite capable of ruining the planet for ourselves, but it will bounce back with life in some form within that time frame. And the planet itself is quite capable of sending us back to the stone age even without our assistance.

On a more relevant note. Bad things WILL happen in the next century or so. Probably as the result of 2 or more unrelated things happening at once. Basically because most humans are useless and pretty stupid, im frankly surprised we've made it this far.

    indeed......

"We are so used to the notion of our own inevitability as life's dominant species that it is hard to grasp that we are here only because of timely extraterrestrial bangs and other random flukes. The one thing we have in comMOn with all other living things is that for nearly four billion years our ancestors have managed to slip through a series of closing doors everytime we needed them to."

"Humans are here because our particular line never fractured - never once at any of the billion points that could have erased us from history"

According to prophesy, cats will know what to do after a nuclear war. They will rule.

Then, we will all sleep in a basket.
