What have you got?

http://www.zoomer2k.co.uk/music/

got around to doing it I think most of them are there but i'm sure there are a couple I have missed.

plus if any one is interesting I will be making a more indepth interface that uses the xml export of Collectorz.com system.

I haven't catalogued anything at the moment. For music other than classical it's not a great problem: not too much around... Anybody interested in cataloguing my pop, rock and jazz records / CDs. :D
No problems for staying overnight here. :D

I might get the Music Collector but I'll have to wait for the 1. quarter of 2005 for the OS2 version.. Until then I might as well increase my collection otherwise why should I catalogue it?

This is a very helpful resource too:

www.discogs.com

I was a moderator at one time on there but time restrictions stopped that. I have an account and have part of my collection posted but it is restricted to what genre's that site caters for.

I built my music collection on an Excel spreadsheet and hyperlinked it to AMG ALLMUSIC.
How can I transfer this to a program without typing out the whole lot again , as this took me ages , approx 900Lp's and the same again with cd's.
If there are any such programs , which is the best????

chezi.

I have 300ish dvd's and a miserly 250ish cd's, but I'm working on it. Over half modern electronica, some 70's & 80's rock, a lot of 90's brit pop. Zero classical or jazz.

Not really catalogued. Just got a different shelf for each style/genre I listen to. Obviously i bump artists albums together!

vintage reggae, mostly imports, jazz, rare groove soul, rock classical , spanish guitar classics, indian ,etc.etc. about 4.000 albums on vynil and 2.000+ cd's

Have a very varied taste in music........like most things, especially Beatles / 1970s Progressive Rock, Genesis, Yes, King Crimson etc.(much derided in the UK!) but take exception to most Rap, 'Cowboy Hat' Country Music and what my daughter calls ' Happy Hardcore' (heaven forebid!).......

Have well over 2000 Vinyl, with a much cherished collection of over 200 Japanese Pressings / Half Speed Masters / Audiophile Records. Also a fair number of 12 inch singles on '45'.
Also have over 1000 CDs.

Our heart is still 'vinyl shaped', yet with good equipment CD can sound really good.

If I had to choose a few of our most loved records.......
A wonderful CBS/Sony Half Speed Master of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'.
A rare and terrific 1978 Jazz/Fusion record by a Band called Nova - the Album, 'Vimana'.
Genesis - 'Wind and Wuthering'.
Talk Talk - 'Spirit of Eden' (and it's 'sister' Album 'Laughing Stock').

First right, we ad a Maccy D's, pulled some doughnuts in the car park in Daves Corsa and left all us rubbish in the space next to ours. I were out of me box on disco biscuits dancin in a wet field wi a glow stick it were ace, dj madness was bangin.

...if only I could recapture some of this utopian ideal...

OT... Never thought about a catalogue, I've probably rotated my entire collection of CD's several times. If I'd have had the space I'd have kept the lot. My vinyl consists of a lot of Bowie and some Cream, a fair amount of Grace Jones, and late night listening faves are The Blue Nile. Theres a lot of variety, so I will come back to this when i get chance. The vinyls probably the most bonkers array of genres ever seen on here!

Surely they're not still banging that out? OMG double drop, where's my white gloves and whistle...

I believe the music of choice for those in barried-up Saxos is now "bouncy techno" aka "bounce".

Bangin' :D
