To beat your chair Sergeant, at this hour, i would have to jeopardise my job.
At least with mine, you don't have to go far for a beer afterwards.:MILD:

I'll bet you could buy a 2nd hand Neve filter for very low money from a pro-sound dealer.Originally posted by technobear
Failing that, how about a reasonably priced audiophile grade tuneable notch filter.
I'll check it out.Originally posted by leonard smalls

Yes but a full blown graphics equaliser seems like overkill. On the basis that less is generally more where hifi is concerned, I would like an equaliser with just one or two channels which could be centred anywhere from say 30 - 100 Hz. If it could do this with no phase distortion or temporal smearing, so much the better.Originally posted by leonard smalls
Alternatively, there's always the Klark Technik pair of (dare I say it) graphic equalisers... Most reasonable nowadays and used in the same studios as the Neve.
ah a parametric equalizer is wot ya want, I would like an equaliser with just one or two channels which could be centred anywhere from say 30 - 100 Hz

the music industry to balance it's paranoia and greed with the real world and decide on a real next generation digital format that has backwards compatibility with cd, can do 192/24 or better audio uncompressed on 16+ channels, allow copies for in car and portable use without risking bankrupcy through internet distribution. it should also be able to handle hdtv and have a standard secure digital output at full bit rate for both audio and video. of course i'd also like naim to make the kit able to play this new stuff in their own inimitable way too.
cheers
