Apropos nothing in particular

Sorry John but I would disagree there, Steve is just one of the lads over here. Anyway, none of the regular's could afford his babies even if we wanted them, and I certainly don't see any viral marketing going on (unlike most other places).

Merlin - Surely it should be called Hifi -

Good point, I just want to see some real reviews, you know the ones that finish with "well it's nice but £7K...PLEASE!!!!" (No offence Mick!)

Timpy, sorry for the confusion, I of course think that all Omiga product represents extreme value for money, (nb. caveats apply)

i get a little uncomfortable when manufacturers start plugging their kit on forums like this one. From what i've seen it's only 7th V that overtly do this. For example avondale keep a relatively low profile on the naim and pf site.

Coy plugs for hifiplus reviews in forthcoming issues almost make one think twice about buying it.
For the record, I haven't plugged the review on 'forums like this', just this one. This is my 'home forum' and people know me here. Everyone needs somewhere just to hang out and have a laugh.

Sorry for any discomfort felt, none intended.

Steve

PS: It's not as if any of you deaf bastards would ever buy my speakers. :banghead:

7th veil speakers should prove a very interesting listen at Bristol, why not go a long and abuse Steve (nicely), and find out what all the fuss is about, they'll be some familar faces about too.
Merlin excellent Idea, prehaps a 'roving' eye reporter, to check out those 'estabishments' not counducting dbt's or offering cold blooded creature secreations.
Plus a rant section for those who have been unjustly treated by unfair & overchaging practices. T.

john,
as has been said steve is 'one of the guys' over here and has fully disclosed his interests. As long as you know that there is a vested interest i really cannot see the problem, we're all hear to find out about new and interesting hi-fi after all.
cheers

I've been reading this site (plus groovehandle before) and i haven't seen 7_V blow his own trumpet. Remember it's note his review, but what IMO a decent reviewer has witten.

Steve -

Congratulations on the excellent review.
You must be pleased :)

Hope you sell lots

Cheers
Chris

A clear case of thread hijacking, I call it. Can't a guy post an innocent piece of commercial exploitation without being inundated with adverts for cheap travel? ;)

Knock'em dead in Bristol, Steve. What will the system be?

Didn't they photograph well, even if some of the angles are rather precarious.

Steve was kind enough to invite Jason and myself for a listen before the 7V was optimised. Still sounded great, especially in the midrange.
