I have a feeling it's all in higher hands now. This area has had a lot of building in the one and two bedroom market and lots of small flat developments so, my hope is that our house is in a different market :)

Most of my places work force are Poles.

Loose, dry sand is an EXCELLENT acoustic energy absorber.
(Remember the Wharfdale Sand Filled Speaker SFB3 and that Gilbert Briggs knew more about loudspeakers than we amateurs).

The challenge is in making something aesthetically pleasing ... that doesn't leak sand.
