The formal thing with picture taken with stupid bloody hat is the graduation do we're talking about. Im sure ma and pa want to sit for many loooooooong hours waiting for their little cherub to go on stage for a whole 30 secs to collect a certificate that isnt real (or at least ours wasnt).

I'm so glad that southampton breaks graduation up into many smaller ceremonies of around 150 graduates.

Mine was fairly amusing as my father was a vice chancellor and still works closely within higher education, so as my name was read out you could see the VC twig who I was.

Mine is broken into smaller bits but not 150 people, it will be my school so I reckon thats about 500-700 people. I just can't be bothered with it at all, but my parents want to go so it will shut them up.

I am not paying for any of it though thank god :)

    Hi AT,

    Well done!

Graduation was good for the parents to marvel at but boring to sit through. I feel asleep during mine. My hat fell off and it woke me up. :D

I looked good in a hat and gown.

Superb effort mate, well done! Bet you feel relieved. I know it felt like a huge weight off my shoulders when I finally graduated!

Thanks :) the only problem is I still only have my results verbally but they were from a very well respected member of staff who knows me well, so I am 99% sure he got my results right.

I've still yet to see anything in writing though :( I don't graduate till the 13th but I have paid my 20p library fine so there is no reason I won't graduate :)

It does feel like a relieve becuase if I did very badly or failed it would have felt like a financial disaster and a total waste. Even if I do end up in Tesco at least its still somthing I have achieved. £7K debt isn't really a lot when you think people take out car loans for much more.

Congratulations. Next thing, do NOT take on professional exams, such as patent attorney exams, which are much worse, difficulty and stress-wise - unless you're mad of course (like me).

Everything all seems pointless now, my grandads had some complications from his operation and it looks like he has liver and possibly kidney failure :(

    AT,

Sorry to hear that. All you can do is be there for your Grandfather.

Remember to look to the future, that means your future! (not meant to sound uncaring, just to say be sure not to loose sight of your life)

I'm sorry to hear that AT, as I'm certain we all are.

Everyone dies and to die in his sleep was a blessing. I'm sure it gave him great pleasure to know that you did so well in your university exams.

    I wish you long life.
