Doesn't necessarily follow - check out older Jamos...
But the Duevels do sound good - very unhifi, but like being there. I'd have some myself if I wasn't worried about frying them (I'll be looking toward JBL K2 and the like when I finally change speakers)

Yes Martin, I experimented with the Tact and the differences were decidely noticable. Properly time aligned at the listening position, the bottom end had noticeably less bloom than one would usually expect leading to superior pitch definition IME. Even without using the Tact, the positioning of the JBL's in relation to the satellites in the one plane produced quite startling differences in both imaging and perceived bass "speed"

I like Duevels, although I've only heard the little ones.

    They look stupid, though.

Merlin - cheers for your comments. I must admit that with my own feeble speaker setup I do currently have my (forward firing) sub roughly in line with the speakers, pretty much, despite my comments above, as that's where I feel it ought to be...

    Martin,

have a play! Try placing the sub 50cm from the rear wall firing into it! Then pull the monitors out about four feet from the wall. You may be surprised :)

Will do! I certainly need to have a good play with the positioning of all my speakers, I just haven't had the time so far :(
