Stumblin, if the offer is open I'd love to get one of these - my old rotel that I use for the PC has just given up the ghost!

Guys, bear in mind that we're talking 6W per channel here. Nothing wrong with that of course but you're going to need some pretty efficient/easy to drive speakers for it to shine.

Tripath have several Evaluation boards available, multichannel, higher power etc. Does the 'super sound' carry on up the range or is it just the 2024?

A group buy should lower import costs from the USA too I'd have thought.

Many of the more well respected Class D (well, Tripath call it Class T but it's the same thing) amps use the Tripath chips/modules (eg Belcanto).

Interesting. Looks like I'll have to learn how to build a power supply and case.

Well for how cheap these things are they have got to be worth a try, if the sound isn't that good then they would be fine for the PC etc :D
I bet the pcb would fit nicely in one of those Hammond enclosures from Maplins.
Surely there is a few other guys in the UK interested in trying one

hey all, just to let you know that I'm not ignoring the PMs. To hopefully get a better deal, I'm going to see what interest there is at the end of the week, and then get a price. I'll hopefully let you know on Monday at the latest, and as soon as payments have cleared I will order.

I'd like to buy one Stumblin! I have sent you a PM as well.

I have fcuk all use for it but I have not yet heard a digital amp and I built a miniature amp many years ago, it would be nice to see how it compares!

Well, having started this thread, I'll certainly go for one (mind you, if they're that good and that cheap, I'll possibly go for 2 - I'll confirm at the time you ask for the money)
