i'm in the mk45 postcode which is mid bedfordshire just south of bedford itself. closest junctions on the m1 are 13 and 12 (i'm slap in the middle between them) although either is about 10 to 20 minutes away depending on traffic. if you're closer to the a1 then i think it's what would be junction 12 or so (they stop giving them numbers round old warden and sandy - you want old warden)

    cheers

    Julian,

    Any chance of one more?
By the 7th Feb I hope to have got the CD5i and have run it in. Would love to see how it stands up to what else is around?

Following on from Tones recent post about ICs, and the mention of blind testing, how about you lot doing some blind testing at the bakeoff? Been done before, but would be interesting to see the result again with a wider range.

You might just prefer to get pissed and turn the volume up though :D

I dont know about the rest of the guys, but at these bake offs I'd rather do less box swapping and more listening to music. As for blind testing, well thats for geeks I'm afraid:)

i could probably accomodate everyone but it would be a squeeze and someone would have to get the ergonomic kneely chair of doom!

as to what we do, well i'm torn, i know exactly what robbo is saying and tbh i would like to just listen to music in good company however the other side of me is dying to hear steves speakers, some kans, a townshend and a cd5i. i think blind testing would be a bit of a bugger to organise though so subjectivism only please.
    cheers

    i'm using this post:
    http://zerogain.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=28834#post28834

as the definitive list of whos comming and who has expressed an interest but not confirmed as yet.

i counted the chairs i've got and i could just have 11 seats without the kneely chair. still if chris ever visits i'll be sure to dig it out.
    cheers

No blind testing? pah! Only because none of you are confident you could identify your £1k cables from your £1 ones! ;) oooooh! fighting talk

Off topic but Julian, how do you give a link to a specific post rather than just the thread?

    mo,
it's more a question of logistics than anything else. every bakeoff i've been to has had lots of expensive kit littering the floor adding some sort of screen into the equation especially with the way i've got my kit set up would be a recipie for disaster.

    voodoo,
sorry you can't make it, maybe next time eh?

as for adding a link to a specific post i'm not sure but here's how i did it for that one...
    edit the post.
when you return to the thread after editing you get a link directly to the post in the adress bar.
copy this and use it as the link.
of course this only works for posts you've actually written yourself. how you link to someone else's specific post i've no idea. perhaps someone else could help here?
    cheers

    Julian,
I won't ask to come as I don't know my work that far ahead [I work some weekends], and you already have plenty of loonies. But if people drop out nearer the day, and I'm free...
Incidentally, I am not against social calling another day, as you are only about 20 miles South of me

    cheers,

    Graham C

    dean,
it looks like there'll be a couple of loudspeakers turning up too so it's turning into a bit of a free for all really so if you've got anything you feel would be interesting then bring it down but bear in mind my weird connections!
i always look forward to your music selections they've helped me to broaden my musical horizons a lot in the past so bring it on...
    cheers
