The dreaded belly

If you wish to shrink your beer jelly then as others hae already said consume less, excersise more or better still do both. You have to want to do something and the method you choose must become a part of your life style otherwise you won't be able to keep it up in the long term. By long term I mean well into your 60s, 70s and 80 as a person of your age may well expect to love that long You don't want to travel slowly through your 70s and 80s in ill health do you?

A few years ago a close friend of mine was in hospital for rather a long time and I made sure I visited them at least once a day, the trip to the hospital entailed a walk of just over an hour each way and after visiting for a month or so I noticed that I was a fair bit thinner and fitter.

What about not walking to the nearest shop for your newspapers or food shopping but picking one a lot further away so as to introduce aadditional excersise into your daily timetable? Your diet can also cause problems with your size but as with additional excersise the changes have to be for the long term and they have to be something that you like eating otherwise you won't stick at it.

AT, let Roger McGough be your guide.

You, my friend, have been hideously misinformed! A pint is 0.5683 litres.

I hereby find you guilty of misuse of google and sentence you to drink 10 IMPERIAL pints in one go. None of those short-changing american pints around here thank you!

I meant to post something more constructive last night but had to leave quickly....

I believe it is helpful to try to do some cardiovascular exercise first thing in the morning, before you've eaten anything, since then the body will more quickly have to turn to using fat as it's energy source.

No it isn't.
Actually it is. Read it again:)

Nope; I still don't agree! There is 100% chance of an individual suffering a cardiac arrest (at death) but not of a heart attack. I don't think I'm missing some cunning subtlety in the earlier posts...

To take the post literally, I think it was something like "have a heart attack or something". Just imagine what "or something" could be;). It doesn't have to be an illness or anything nasty, he could have a baby for all we know:D.

i dunno dev he could be cryogenicly frozen or have his consiousness downloaded into a virtual body or perhaps have his body cloned and his brain transplanted / transferred somehow.
then again maybe not... but it's not 100%, close, but not totally.
cheers

Ah, crap, good point :NADowner:

So, is the suggestion now that rather than AT developing a beer gut he's pregnant, in which case give it a few months and things should be back to normal? :) Not sure the beer's good for the kid mind...

Not convinced that offtopicness is grounds for closing a thread... it would mean that 90% of threads got closed within the first page.

Drag it back on topic man!

does recommend situps as a method of trimming a belly..??

if so, what style..?

??

Stomach routines will not trim a belly, they will toughen the muscles that hide under a belly...
