If you wish to shrink your beer jelly then as others hae already said consume less, excersise more or better still do both. You have to want to do something and the method you choose must become a part of your life style otherwise you won't be able to keep it up in the long term. By long term I mean well into your 60s, 70s and 80 as a person of your age may well expect to love that long You don't want to travel slowly through your 70s and 80s in ill health do you? A few years ago a close friend of mine was in hospital for rather a long time and I made sure I visited them at least once a day, the trip to the hospital entailed a walk of just over an hour each way and after visiting for a month or so I noticed that I was a fair bit thinner and fitter. What about not walking to the nearest shop for your newspapers or food shopping but picking one a lot further away so as to introduce aadditional excersise into your daily timetable? Your diet can also cause problems with your size but as with additional excersise the changes have to be for the long term and they have to be something that you like eating otherwise you won't stick at it.
