to wander back toward a post near the begining of this thread, the early Mondeos pulled to the left cos the subframe wasnt aligned properly, someone putting them together didnt RTFM.

I own a 95 mk1, its a fine car, i do over 80 miles a day and its great, cruises on the Mway nicely and handles the traffic well too. 158k and still the original clutch, no holes or wear on the seats, just the steering wheel had shuffled off the mortal coil

    I'd love a 3 series though.....

I am not a Ford fan but would pick the Ford every time in front of a Lada or a Skoda.

I'd buy a Skoda anytime. My current one is fantastic, and I will I am sure buy another when the time comes. It's great that people still cling to their stereotypes as it makes them cheaper for those that are in the know. Why do think they were second only to Lexus in the JD Power survey? Skoda have the highest customer satisfaction in the VAG group. My experiences of Ford garages have not been happy ones.

Another Skoda fan (as if y'all didn't know it!) here...
I'd take my Skoda 4x4 over any Ford - it's an extremely reliable and fun-to-drive car. The only other car I thought of buying instead of the Octavia was a Subaru Legacy - in the end the Skoda was significantly cheaper both to buy and to keep on the road, and performance is only marginally less..

I think it's on the Golf platform..
And I also think the Czechs seem to be able to make VWs better than the Germans can!
The dealer network is certainly shedloads better.

Yep I think its fairly well known that Skoda have extremely strict quality controls. Also I suspect the Skoda plant is more modern than any other VAG ones.

My uncles Skoda Fabria has done more than 100,000 miles now he does 30,000 a year and has had four four years. In that time virtualy nothing has gone wrong it, he will soon have £10000's to spend on car becuase they are selling their house, he said he will replace with another Skoda.

Anybody who is snobby about the Skoda badge knows nothing about cars. The only thing that Skoda could improve is the bodyshells, they look a bit bland, so do the interoiors but then VW need to seperate them from the more expensive Seats and VWs.

I think Fabria is very good looking, the Octavia is a bit dated now in terms of looks, but its still a great car.

HJaven't read whole thread but in answer to original question. Yes they love the Ford Mondeo..

I have 2 a new shape ST rocket ship and a mark 2 battleship. Both great cars and have stuck with them, even when more exotic badges have been on offer.

I loves the mondeo I duzz.

2000bhp thats like the output of a train engine. This Skoda must be the fastest road car ever :D 0-60 in 1 second and a top speed of 500mph?
