What kit is everyone taking? will probably take CD player and a few cables.

It'll be interesting to compare and contrast the CDX and the 192. What cables were you thinking of?

I'd like to know what the others are using in their systems anyway, whether they bring anything or not.

 

I have a set of Coherent interconnects, Krystal Kables Sonnet speaker cable and Mithril Solid Silver speaker cable(have to be careful with this one as unfortunately very fragile) but I think will be intersting in your set up.
If someone else brings speakers which are a bit easier to drive (not a put down I may add ) I may bring my amp too.

I have another Orbital album in the pipeline. I wonder if it will arrive in time

I've already lined up a few interesting tunes to play which may raise a few eyebrows.

I know what kinds of music chrisp and penance listen to. What do you others listen to?

 

Anything but opera, and I think that's only a matter of being introduced to it.

I'll bring whatevers on the coffee table on the day...

Opera can be done in small doses. Will put together a selection and try not to put off too many people too soon

As for opera, the closest I get is Pavarotti singing on "Miss Sarajevo" on "Passengers: Original Soundtracks 1"

 

Fear not - I'm just as happy with Faithless and Orbital - will maybe bring some things from the minimalist end of the classical spectrum.

 

Thanks Chris, I promise NO Opera, though Rigaletto was good (WNO production) at Oxford last year, the russian birds aria was rather good.
Fear not though sure I can find some suitable house moving material LOL!!!!

 

I only have 2 classical CDs so a few more wouldn't hurt

Talking of arias, I always liked that bit in the middle of "The Fifth Element". If anyone has the soundtrack CD...
