You'd better learn to spell it then - it's vinyl ;)

Christ this is devilishly difficult but I'll give it a go.

In no particular order (apart from the 1st one which will always be number one on my list):

This is the Sea: The Waterboys
    October: U2
    New Gold Dream: Simple Minds
Weights and Measures: Spirit of the West
    The Wall: Floyd
    Alchemy: Dire Straits
    London Calling: The Clash
    Bring it On: Gomez
    Parklife: Blur
    Definitely Maybe: Oasis

I reserve the right to change this mind as there are so many other great albums out there.

I wouldn't mind betting there's only one on there a lot of people don't know: our Canadian friends Spirit of The West - they write great songs (sometime humourous) and are truly outstanding musicians - on top of this their albums are superbly recorded/produced.

I lent "Weights and Measures" to a bloke at work who had never heard of them - he didn't want to give it back! Imagine a better/less commercial version of REM and you're pretty much there. If you want to give them a go then "Weights and Measures" or "Go Figure" is a good place to start.

Off the top of my head, nothing definitive except the first two:

Aphex Twin - 'Selected Ambient Works Vol. II'
Jimi Hendrix - 'Band Of Gypsys'
    GAS - 'Konigsforst'
    Bach - 'Brandenburg Concertos'
John Coltrane - 'Blue Train' (esp. the Classic mono re-issue!)
    Lightnin' Hopkins - anything
Yagya - 'The Rhythm of Snow'
    Mozart - 'Requiem Mass'
    Plastikman - 'Musik'
...er, maybe Frank Zappa, or something by Tallis, or Louis Armstrong...I don't know. Like most of you this 'list' is constantly changing depending on mood, what I've just listened to etc, and the simple fact that there is just SO much good music....kind of depressing knowing that there just isn't enough time to listen to even a small fraction of it all:(
