No, I like the crossoverless nature of them. I've been running these for about 9 months now and they're excellent in lots of ways. I've had no itch to change them at all really. They have compromises, but they get the important things right, and the simplicity of the design appeals to me. -- Ian
Yes, I though Robs descriptions were superb. Very Flat Response. Rob, have you ever thought of becoming a magazine reviewer?
I've heard Ian's Jordans and they are superb where it really counts the most - in every area except low bass and the very top end. You can't beat the coherence of a good single driver. The top end extension is pretty good but you need to be perfectly on axis for the best 'hi-fi'. However they still perform their magic no matter where you sit, probably because they lack the phase problems that complex multi driver boxes and crossovers can bring. Rob.
Ian, I've spent the day stocking up on Jimmy Smith and Louis Prima via HMV. Ordered the Sufjan Stevens too. So excellent day for me. Dean, any chance of a copy of that Mojo compilation?
It was this: http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/product.php?pId=1066260&pType=music The discovery of which I owe to Joel. -- Ian
The Django was clearly transparent and provided greater drive that the Glasshouse. Beyond that it is impossible to say as it was not in a system familiar to me. I would have liked to have listened to a good active pre with the Rogue.
OK thats now ordered, along with three Fiery Furnaces albums (they also have a new album being released soon btw), the Sufjan Stevens album, and a Labradford album (Fixed Context).
Hi guys, just got back. I don't know, leave you alone for a couple of days and you start picking on Nick. Rob, yes agreed, you must try harder. Dean, can you sort out one for me as well please? Ian, what was the track that emptied the room? I remember the sheapish looks when the boss walked in and started to question our sanity.
That was this. Not sure why people took against it, it's just the concentrated essence of Hendrix. -- Ian
