There is about a 20% general improvement - but the areas in which the linn most falls short are fundamentally still unchanged. Given the increase in adjusted cost and the extent of the changes this is not really very acceptable. The linn has increased by a factor of four wrt to the price of the gyro 20 years ago - and the gyro sound has improved by far more than 20%. Linn are just bailing out the basement - to milk the cash cow of every drop.

You make a good point kenny - Bub dont make unsubtantiated accusations and then claim disinterest. Rudy has offered to provide proof. If you choose not to take it then also choose to say nothing.
 
Nick - again you omit the words "IMO."

Stating a percentage improvement in sound quality is not something I'd feel comfortable with.

I am not going to post the words IMHO every time - its ridiculous.

Either I will state measurements, subjective impressions or opinions. I am sure you can work it out.

I am illustrating the improvement is not that large for the outlay and extent of changes. They might as well of brought out a new deck.
 
Oh come on! One minute he's feeding pizza to a 6 month baby, then a sudden growth spurt, or something, and the baby is now 16 months old instead.

You are clearly making it all up as you go along, and know nothing about children.

being so defensive is getting a tad tiresome - you have been droning on about how poor the LP12 is, despite the occasional misfit actually liking the one they have - if you are going to have to learn that "opinion" cannot be challenged - "I Like Thai Women", for example, is an opinion and as such not open to challenge - its what someone thinks. "Thai Women Are Better Than Your Women" is a statement: its open to challenge and as a statement should be able to be confirmed by facts.

Rude ol sent me pics of his gyro with gold sme arm, complete with split table for the standalone motor.

why he sent a picture of a Pioneer av/ amp thingy is beyond me though... :)

so I've convinced. but devil thinks I'm Adam Ant's guitarist, so what chance have I got? :D
