I lived with a BATvk3ix for a couple of months. It has a lot of my criteria - very tight bass control, natural sound, cool looks, plus remote. Thing is I now am back in the market for round two of pre auditions, now that I am properly used to my system's sound. I still feel small improvements are possible in the pre when partnering my system. I think the BAT is great in other systems, but not at it's best in mine, after much thought. If anyone wants a mint silly bargain drop me a mail, as it's trading in soon :D

    Will do.

Btw, while I'm back here briefly...

Merlins new subs look like a good solution to put the missing bass back under the ATC's. I've seen a few people going down this remedial route recently.

I also see the pink fish mafia have expanded their territory into ZG. I forsee many battles being waged on a circular field. :D

Let me try this shoe on ...

If you'll look at the join dates and the number of posts, you'll find that the pfm mafia was on zg long before anyvbody felt the need to coin the term. Membership of the two fora overlaps to a large degree, although it is fair to say that the typical zg member is probably a bit younger than his counterpart on pfm.

Given recent developments, I'm confident circles stay where they belong, in the corn fields, and won't turn up here or on pfm.

Yes but fortunately they are in a normal minority here rather than the dominant clique. This forum is also competently moderated, unlike PFM, so things cant get out of control.

Translation: This forum puts up with my attention-seeking behaviour, whilst PFM recognises it for what it is.

The club you are a member of doesnt confer any respect bubby - its full of insecure and juvenile blow-hards. I am not going to be dragged into PFM style mud slinging here - so leave it at the door bub. If you are missing arguing with me then get the pfm moderators to lift my ban and I will be happy to go a few rounds with you in the play pen. But I am not going to do it here and spoil a forum that actually has something interesting to say. End of topic.

FWIW, in general, I think that PFM has a far more mature & well-informed membership.

Go on, have the last word, though.

Thanks - I disagree. Of all the forums I frequent PFM has the lowest level of responsibility and also the lowest level of understanding. As compared with diyaudio say.

Hey, I hadn't noticed you were banned, Nick. Just to make this clear: this is not the recent development I meant, I thought your post posting style had improved.

These have awesome re-defining-your-standards type of bass.. have you heard them?

A little birdie told me that Merlin might be looking at passing them on to try an alternative, so it would be worth sending him a PM if they blew you away..

If I had any ATC's I would already own some suitably large subs to partner them. However I don't have any need for low end bolstering now. Congratulations on a good looking job though. Reminds me of that scene from 'back to the future', but in stereo.

ATC 100s don't need subs - ask anyone who has heard them.

Bub - I have heard them - they need subs. That was my main gripe with them IMHO. Didnt SSB confirm about the dem yet? I cant log in and check I am afraid.

Markus - thanks for clarifying that. I had assumed that is what you were referring to. Bub insisted I was banned for making as many posts as he does (but not as offensively) and then it was made so ;). It appears to be permanant (and unsurprising).
