My weekend

Andy,

1/4 unc or whitworth will do, maybe you could talk Pat into sending you some threaded insert adapter that go into the bottom plinth, that will give you 3/8 UNC like the shearwaters, I've got plenty of threaded adapters and cones you can try then.
M/L Martain Logans= A quick route to terminal boredom via flight yawnsville
M/L Mark levinsion= Quality built and accurate reproduction equipment that pairs well with the above.
M/L Meadowlarks= Exceptional good musical speakers, that won't be for every one.
M/L Merlins Ladehausian= Shawn off leather trousers for our Z/G wizard to go with his matching braces

OK here we go........
look underneath the speaker, youwill see 4 FLUSH fit threaded inserts that self thread into the wood, a 10mm or US allen key is used to scrwqw them in, inside the insert is the thread required, basicaly a thread within a thread like a helicoil Ok

didnt get to B&Q, to much normal (read boring) stuff to do.
I did, however, mail Pat at Meadowlark (no more ML, OK merlin?) and asked if it would be possible to get some 3/8 inserts along with some binding posts.
Had a mail from the only Bennic stockist in UK, and they no longer hold stock, minimum order quantity is 500units, bit to many for me.

got to be tried on some concrete pavers too penance.

my speakers sound shitty without the concrete plinths under the cones.

(no nasty comments about sounding shitty WITH the plinths please!!)

Isaac the place for that is on the REL thread. With that red arse on show P will be feeling uncomfortable again.
Glad you're liking them Andy. I've put mine about 8 feet apart and the sound floats very nicely between them.

I think someone has had problems with the spikes on mine, and has I suspect fitted spikes form something else to it, as the female part of the spike has been araldited in. It may be Andy that if you could get spikes and the female part you could replace the Meadowlark spikes with something else. Not sure where you'd get both bits from, unless somewhere like Wilmslow Audio stock them. In fact have you tried there? They sell all sorts of replacement bits for speakers
