    Apparently so

That's the problem actually - Forum wisdom would have you believe MF (soundstage, seperation) to Naim (PRaT)is chalk & Cheese.

I was a little taken aback when I first connected the KW500 up - the difference was more subtle (maybe due to Naim CDS2 front end ?)
I was really expecting a difference in 500watts from the KW500 vs. 75watts from 135's driving the supposedly difficult to drive N803's.
I am not bound by Flat Earth or any other Earth, my ears make the decisions.
On balance, Naim won out (I like Rock of varying extremes) - MF certainly suited to Acoustic & Classical.
KW500 may be appearing in the classifieds soon..I just need one more listening session.

Rega Elex (looking to be replaced!!!)
    Cura CA30 Floor Standers

    QED Qunex 1 Interconnect
    VDH d352 speaker cable

oh yeah, and I've got a velodyne CHT-8 sub, but it's not currently in use as I'd have to run speaker cable to it, then use it's crossover before sending more cable to the speakers! Bad idea.

(Will connect with its own RCA from preamp when I get one)

    Why thankyou mr cat :)

It's not bad at all. I'd quite like to have the Dyns on stands though. I'm looking out for a pair of Partington Dreadnought or the like in Silver. Would really like Sonus R5 but the price is obscene.

I've had a good look round at hifi furniture and found nothing in which I could still hide the Trichord and all the cables. I do like having it looking neat with no cables visible from the front.

Next step is to upgrade the Squeezebox 2 until it sounds as good as the CD player, and then sell the CD player.

BTW, there is a sub in the photos. It's hiding in the corner behind one of the Castles.

Just thought I'd share a quick, crap pic of what bits of my system were up and running when I took the photo (vinyl with my brother, CD Recorder at work). Room is actually tidier than usual as well.

    cheers!

it originally came with the gold trim...which is simply the bar at the front (on the bottom) - so I rang them asking if I could buy a chrome one - which they could...15 quid later it arrived...

but it was slightly bent...whilst straightening it it snapped :(
but I was able to sort it tho..sigh...

That's a shame... :( Is it the little mark in the middle of the bar?

kind of - there is a threaded hole there for the allen key - that obviously was a weak spot, but by tightening the nut - it keeps it in place...so, you can't tell that it had snapped...

if you look carefully, you can see where the allen key goes in on the right hand side...and theres one on the left

Firstly - Mr Cat - nice looking setup you have there!

Secondly, it's been a while since I've posted some updated system pics. My room layout and kit have changed since then, so here goes:

Some of you have already seen a few years ago some pictures of my kit. Nothing spetacular has changed estetically since them except for the room treatment. Since I'm not planning to modify things for the next years I believe it's time to put some pictures of the final status in this forum.
