Turntables...

I think any company who can take the credit for Dido's recordings deserves patronage from as wide a group of music lovers as possible. Impressive, in a word. Very impressive.

I really hate to admit to this but since this thread is about turntables. Much as I find her music quite bland I recently with a friend did a cd vs. vinyl of her last album. I know it is an expensive Classic pressing but it really does show the superiority over the cd version.

sadly (and much to be annoyance) I actually listened to the vinyl version from my own free will afterwards.

I have a problem and need help.

...as an aside: I got home last night, turned the central heating way up & sat in my undergarments listening intently for the improvements a heated bearing would bring about... I think I may have heard something just before I passed out... hard to say. I will be doing more tests tonight, full report tomorrow.
LOL :D I thought it would have to be something pretty special to get you out of the cowboy gear in your photograph. Did you shave the tache off too? It all helps you know?

Why don't you put the electric hob on a low heat and sit the TT there?

My tache doesn't come off for no-one, nor nobody.

On a serious note though: isn't that what's great about these forums? I mean if I hadn't read about this amazing heated bearing, I would never had thought of this simple upgrade.

I've calculated if I take my pants off tonight I will have another minute or two listening time before I pass out.

I'll report back tomorrow!

AFAIK their penetration of the pro market is tiny in real terms - far more studios using speakers from better known manufacturers or of higher quality.

Their marketing is excellent however! Shame the same cannot be said for Quested.

doing ye old google fight..

an impressive victory for ATC until you compare them to the market leaders:

Dynaudio do much better than ATC (and hence PMC) and JBL take the p*ss, but then I guess you'd expect that from the JBL monster.

Edit: apologies bottleneck, just noticed you'd already said that.

Bub,

A little bird tells me that the sme has arrived and that the LP12 "Ninja" spontaneously combusted at the mere sight of it. Any first impressions?

Nick.
