Worst song ever

Somebody I know did order it, or is this just a faked up digital photo..?

Hi,

Don't worry Henry. I too own a copy of that cd. Some of the tracks are corkers and have been used at various gigs and for my listening pleasure

The worst song is by a group called Vanilla with 'No way, No Way'. Bloody awful. I'm very tolerant about music but this is the worst thing I've ever heard. I got sent this record as a promo. I almost sent it back.

It got to number 26 in the all time worst record list that was done on Channel 4.

A dead (this being the operative word) heat between Ohio Express's "Yummy, yummy, yummy (I've got love in my tummy)" and the Trashmen's "Surfin' Bird". Although, to be fair, the latter is so awful it could almost be classically bad, and therefore "good" (sort of).

 Naha, nah, you got it all wrong, Surfin Bird really is a classic, nothing bad about it at all. I listen to it quite often as its the first track on one of my favourite driving CDs - Rockabilly Psychosis and the Garage Disease. Loadsa great stuff from the Sonics, Meteors, Link Wray etc. Actually I suspect Tones, You would hate every single badly recorded, psychotic second of it.

Tee hee - I thought that Vanilla track was kind of cool - for the first couple of times I heard it, that is, for the obvious Muppet Show link.

Worst song ever? This is going to be REALLY tough...

Elvis' Love me tender would be right up there though - I'm with the Wonderstuff here - I never loved Elvis. A couple of good tracks and a lot of mediocre ones.

ANYTHING by Barbara Striesland - I hate that horrid caustic voice.

I'm sure I'll think of more.

Is it just me that looked at that and though who the hell are they? before reading your text and saw the lyrics and just went "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh" ?

Concur with a lot of the above. I'd add anything that's currenly classified as "Urban" or "Garage" music. Seems to be mystifyingly called "R&B" aswell when to my mind it has absolutely nothing to do with real R&B :(

A good example is the song "Dilemma" by Kelly Rowland featuring Nelly whose lyrics seemed to entirely consist of "I need you, and I love you" repeated over and over again to the most irritating little tune

ok, you win!
No redeeming features whatsoever...
I see on bothsides site that they're now a political act... help!!
Some cool links on that site though to a few of my faves of yesteryear (Fat tulips, Popguns, Wedding Present)

i think the one on the right as 2 quite large redeeming features, although the one on the left looks like she's on crack.

cheers

You haven't seen the video then, trust me, no redeeming features!

Damn it! After years of therapy that managed to bury all memory of that bloody vanilla song, you've undone it all!

This one always features in both "Best Song" and " Worst Song" lists.

"Bohemian Rhapsody" Queen. I can't think of anything worse.

Oh come on! Even if you don't like Bohemian Rhapsody you have to admit it's very original and there's a lot of musical talent involved. IMO, if there's obvious musical talent involved a song can't be bad, no matter how much I may hate it. FWIW I don't particularly like Bohemian Rhapsody.

But you unearthed the ghost of the ghastly Daphne and Celeste which is a most unkind thing to do.

uh, stick you, your mama too, and your daaaaddy...

Musical necromancers we are :JOEL:

Hmmm... let's see...

Probably "It's raining men", especially if forced to watch The Weather Girls video with it. Not quite sure why but I HATE it.

Other's that spring to mind are "Who let the dogs out?" and Meatloaf's "I'd do anything for love". There are plenty more that would have me switching radio stations as fast as possible, but thankfully I seem to have successfully blocked most of them from my mind. Result!
