Cheers Tone - I already spotted that one. If I had the money now I'd definitely go for it but unfortunately I'm not going to be buying anything until about Feb :(

I'm hoping that when the time comes I'll find one s/h like that for a decent price.

It's fooking gorgeous is what it is! Of course I wouldn't buy one without hearing it first but my choices have concretized (is that a word?) to just two options: s/h SimAudio i-5 or s/h Gryphon Callisto 2100. The Gryphon is considerably more expensive but I think it will probably be worth the stretch (even though it won't fit on my rack so I'll have to get an extra tall shelf made for it to fit under (see the 'my gear' link in my sig and you'll understand).

The callisto 200 is a great amp, had one on trial for few weeks last year, great for a awful lot of people, it's a sweater lavvy with balls, could have had it for the same money as the Belcanto too. Wm

For anyone interested, Gryphon are no longer represented in the UK. I believe this to be the case in a number of other countries, so if buying, I feel the purchase price should reflect this.

Yes Ian, be worth a laugh, I can get hold of the Modded Dac 64 we did, see what you think it's capable of , personaly I can't go back now, too much of a loss of everything really, but fun though :)
