That sounds interesting. Care to elaborate :)

I bought 2 Lps for next to nowt..

1) Philip John Lee
2) Manitas De Platas

Now I know Manitas De Platas is supposed to be the big cheese, but the PJL album I find more enjoyable with amazing technique. The MDP album perhaps more authentic but not as exciting.

Chap's from Norwich which isn't exactly Spanish, but he sure can play.

Makes me want to sell my guitars and give up..!

Fishbone - Give a Monkey a brain
- If I was a.... (Sadly under-rated band, serious live!!!)

Sly and Robbie - African Roots (Dub-wise)

Funkadelic - Electric Spanking of War Babies (P-Funk-wise)

Material - The Third Power (Funk/reggae ambient groove)

Yesterday t'was:
Jane's Addiction - Strays and Ritualo del Habituo
Death in Vegas - The continuo sessions/Dead Elvis
Chameleon - demo (local jazz funk band..)

Nothing's Shocking is still JA's masterpiece IMO.

Anyway, listening to White Zombie's La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1

Hard to believe that album's 13 years old, could have been made yesterday.

1. Gene Clark - No Other

Fantastic country rock - would the Byrds have been better ... or put another way remained good ... if he had stayed the course? I don't know, but on this listen, I think the answer would be an emphatic yes - sublime

2. Billy Childish and the Buff Medways - Steady the Buffs, 1914 and selected bits of 25 Years of being Childish

Apparently the Buffs have a new album out and its exactly the same as everything else Billy has done for 25 years - who would want it any other way?

3. Green Day - American Idiot

Just can't stop playing this one.

on todays playlist we have...
jmj - zooloook
jmj - oxygene 7-13
raja rams stash bag vol3
spaceships of the imagination - the best of tipworld ambient
cosmosis - trancendance
cheers

I was suprised by that one, I could never hear the american idiot lyrics properly on the radio but bought the album for boulevard... but was really suprised by it, the lyrics for the most part are actually really well written. Intelligence but in an easy to swallow package. Nice.

I'm listening to six organs of admitance, school of the flower (AGAIN) Waren G- Regulate and Do make say think- goodbye enemy airship...

yes, all at the same time.

Strays not that impressed, but ritual is a superb album, have you tried their first album? (Self titled)
I quite like Strays - mainly cos it's a bit heavier than Ritualo (and better recorded!)
Haven't heard "Janes Addiction", though it's possible I have but "was somewhere else"..

Had a good sesh yesterday with:
Lamb - Fear of Fours
Massive Attack vs. Mad Professor - No Protection
Rinocerose (can't remember the title, but grand big beat)
Audioslave
Suicidal Tendencies - Suicidal for life
Roy Haynes - Thank you
Herbie Hancock - Headunters (again - love Chameleon!)
Telepopmusik (more French big beat)
Parliament - Mothership Connection
Jamaaladeen Tacuma - Showstopper
Buzzcocks - greatest hits

Lamb - Fear of Fours

Good to see someone else mention Lamb on here. Have you got any of their others? Their debut album is one of my all time fav's.

I've got Lamb's 1st album as well..
If you like them you should check out the Telepopmusik and Rinocerose - slightly less ambient overall, but cracking despite being a bit French ;)
