"My Head" by 'Too much Guiness after the mighty Chelski win last night.'

What a game eh? I was pretty neutral but the way Claudio Ranieri's been treated and the obvious joy from the win made it a good result. Hope he goes on to win it now!

Currently playing Stone Roses "Turns into stone"

Various Artists - Guitar Speak 3

A selection of tracks from a broad spectrum of axe men, both electric and acoustic stuff featured here. Bought this CD second hand from a record fair ages ago and hadn't given it a spin in a while till tonight.

Surprised to find out that it's still available:

Maybe I should look into getting volumes 1 and 2 to complete my collection.

Them Dirty Blues - The Cannonball Adderley Quintet

One of my grandfathers old mono LPs which sounds damn good through my new Rega P25 :)

So far only had the new Beta Band album and Currently Pearl Jam Ten on.

I watched Mary Poppins earlier. Does that count?

I didn't think the new Beta Band was out yet? That's not a download is it, naughty monkey...

For some reason I've never owned Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert until yesterday. Odd, since it's the album that's bankrolled ECM since 1975. Currently listening to it, a bit grandstanding, and the piano's not in perfect tune, but very impressive nonetheless.

Next up: Candidate, Under the Skylon. I don't know anything about this, a complete impulse buy.

Ooh er. Don't let go of your grandpa's albums (I am prepared to take them off your hands for you, though :D ). Cannonball in Mono eh. Check to see if it's a US or UK pressing will ya :)
Either way, that's a great piece of music. Glad to hear your finally getting to enjoy the P25!
Now on deck:
Jacques Brel - Amsterdam

You'll have to get past me first. And I'll be tooled up...

Candidate lasted two songs before I gave up on it. Will give it another try when I'm looking for some background music. Now up: Nurse With Wound, Funeral Music For Perez Prado. Much more like it.

dum dee dum dee dum dum.

It's a pretty shit copy but gives an idea what to expect. Not completely convinced yet, though there's some realy good tracks on there.

:MO!: :bub:

Joel - the copy I've got is on the Riverside High Fidelity label (RLP 12-322) can't tell if it is the UK or US pressing, althought the back of the sleeve does list it as being printed in England, so that would suggest it's a UK pressing. The vinyl is suprisingly heavy compared to some of my more modern LPs. I'll need to root out more of my grandfather's jazz records and see what's there.

Just to keep the post on topic, currently spinning My Mercury Mouth E.P - The Dust Brothers.

So far today.

On vinyl -

Carole King "Tapestry"
The Cure "Kiss me kiss me kiss me"
Lou Reed "Transformer"

CD -

Damien Rice "O"
Ruby "Salt Peter"
