One can only rely on ones own judgement. Comments insinuating that Mana delivers a placebo effect boon are a little silly. No-one says you are imagining an improvement when you buy a new amplifier, do they?

Maybe we are all just imagining the improvements of everything and in fact a toshiba boombox sounds precisely the same as a £30K Naim system?

Just because he perceived one doesn't mean there was one. We've done this to death in relation to cables. I'm amazed that you can sit and laugh about people using megabucks cables that "do nothing" but think nothing of using megbucks stands that also do nothing. Do you not see the hypocracy?

no need to repeat the question, you have to give me more than 10 minutes to reply!!

You'll note in my post I made no comment good/bad about mana stands. I have never tried, heard or even seen a mana stand (apart from in photographs). You are quite right, any comment by me about the sound quality of a Mana stand would be an ignorant one, feel free to correct it!

My comments regarded the stands that I have tried and bought. I havent heard any difference between any of them*, or putting my stuff on the floor. I have tried lots of stands. I think 5 or 6 different types at one time or another. I think I've tried enough to satisfy myself that its not an area I want to look at any more.


*apart from my turntable, which can wobble on a bad floor, and my speakers. 'no difference' applies to cd players, amplifiers, pre-amps, headphone amps and phono stages.

Cables do make a difference. There is no hypocrisy, and you can'rt spel.

You are in the same position as I was before I tried Mana. I was extremely sceptical, probably more so than you are.

I had an amp stand.
Spent probably about 3 hours fettleing with it over a few days.
Any 'percieved' difference was minimal, hence it went.


But that answer wont be good enough will it, there is always a reason why someone doesnt like Mana.
