Isaac have you bought a nosdac?
chris nice to hear it's now sounding great mine is also sorted, but also sounding better than it did all that has changed is one resistor?how can that change the sound. the unit has been switched off for three weeks! anyway,i am now very happy with it. kane
Gary - no, I still have the superDAC. And I'm skint so the S300 is still sitting forlornly on the floor. I won't be replacing the superDAC with another DAC. There is a product that is on its way that I hope to replace the DAC and amp with.
Hello folks - Isaac - by all means, give me a call when you get back and we'll sort something out. Speaking of your holiday - when do you go? - let me know if you want me to keep an eye on your place. Gazz - nothing sorted on the power supply and may not be for a short while - jut laid out a few quid on a new amp, cant see me getting management approval to spend more at the moment! Kane - yep amazed me the change that occured - apparently the one he took out was in there to give it more life hence the revised NOS sounds (considerably) more laid back! Bake off - more than happy to bring it along if anyone is baking off locally My only problem now is that all my kit, including the new amp (assuming it turns up- Primare a20 mk11, hopefully a big step up from the audiolab 8000a but hey - who cares - the primare is sure pudry looking and its remote operated!) are gonnna be mothballed for 10 days or so until the lounge is actually finished off.......then i have to worry about the acoustics of a solid oak floor.......though we are surrounded by sheep - wonder if sheepskin rugs will have the desired effect........
I'm off at the crack of dawn thursday chris. The neighbours will keep an eye on things for me, but if you want to wander by once or twice then I won't complain.
Just run a few over on your way home from work. Isaac's back early May I will host an evening soon after here in Scholes 2 miles from j26 M62 (Bradford M606 turn-off) Will look forward to hearing the NOS as found it a bit harsh at lordsumit's the improvements sound like a winner.
Rob - running them over occurs more regularly than you might think - Marsden Moor is open grazing land, i generally have to avoid sheep in the road on a daily basis, probaly easier to 'bag' one in the morning when they (and i) are less awake!! keep us posted on the bake off. more than happy to bring the box along, its had about 100 hours running in now, subjectively it sounds better but hey, it could be that my ears are breaking in............!
Hello folks, I'm the designer of the "Derek's" NOS Dac. As Derek quit from this project and if you need any support (like servicing or upgrade), please feel free to drop us an email: [email protected] Thanks again for your support. Cheers Albert moodlab
