Just spoken to Dave at hifiguy. He was very appologetic and offered to ship them back if i wasnt happy doing the work. Else he is happy to cover repair cost.
So i need to find out what make they are, binding posts that is.
I want to try and hook them up to ensure no other damage aswell.

yep Lord, it would seem that way, packing was damaged.
I am now trying to source the same type of binding post in the UK, damned if i will loose them for the sake of a post.

here ya go -

Andy,

That is a what I call avoidable/uneccessary B/S  It piss me off stuff like that, weather the Couriers at fault or the shop for not packaging it up properly, it just so naff :(
Andy, I think there a Cardas units, the Shearwaters are different ones

Anyway here's a couple for Antonio

New editions from the Meadowlark stable

And this is rather tasty, I'm going to have to seriously consider this one Centre Stage

yep tone, wasnt impressed, but in fairness hifiguy immediatly offered to remedy the situation.
Ill take a look at cardas stuff and see if it matches.

Got them hooked up, sounding good. More presence than i had before, and with no spikes and naff cable wrapped around the bust post.

Andy IIRC they are the same or very similar to what's on the PMC FB1. Can't find any piccy's but maybe someone else has, or go to dealers and look, you could then order them from PMC?

Penance,

If you are not going to bi-wire, just solder both wires inside to the same terminal, it will save the jumpers and possibly even improve the sound...

WM,

They are going in the right direction with those additions, the center looks awsome... :MILD:
