Just spoken to Dave at hifiguy. He was very appologetic and offered to ship them back if i wasnt happy doing the work. Else he is happy to cover repair cost.
So i need to find out what make they are, binding posts that is.
I want to try and hook them up to ensure no other damage aswell.

yep Lord, it would seem that way, packing was damaged.
I am now trying to source the same type of binding post in the UK, damned if i will loose them for the sake of a post.

If you are not going to bi-wire, just solder both wires inside to the same terminal, it will save the jumpers and possibly even improve the sound...
