[Review] Getting animated

Bugger the money - do you hear an improvement or not?

If not - forget it - if yes then result.

If everyone agreed on what sounds best in hi-fi there would be no forum - discussion forum is about helping out not arguing about kit, surely, I've had some real help here and sometimes zilch? We are close to one of the great philosophical definitions of religion: "what man does with his solitaries" - A N Whitehead if if I recall my Professor's notes correctly (S G F Brandon).

Now was that easy? But hey let's go for the longest thread record!

Well, I suppose some people might feel a moral obligation to warn others not to waste their money on this sort of blue LED jiggery-pokery. Not me though; after all, they'll probably only spend the money on lottery tickets or booze.

BTW that's a really cute dog in that picture of yours!

ok, that is enough for me, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Apologies to all for getting a little heated, as I always do when a smell a rat. Lastly from me I will say that over the many years I have had an interest in this hobby, various wonder products come and go, and this will always be the case - wehre there is money to be made there will always be chancers.

No need to apologise at all Aqua, you have a point to make and you have made it - just like we all do

Or, and I know this isn't obvious :D, they'll invest that £750 in another area of hifi that's proven to bring definite performance benefits.

or of course point out that your claim the unit has no effect is equally bogus ....remind me where your heard it again oh no you haven't ...I remember. Your making a very big assumption like the others who have not bothered to taken the time to at least try the unit.

It the same as me saying to you ...."your system sound very poor and why did you bother with that cdp upgrade its a complete waste of money ......." and thats without me having come round to hear it. I'm certain you would start to get a little irritated if people kept saying this about your cherished hifi ....wouldn't you rather people heard it first before make pronouncements and accusations as to its efficacy and your financial and audio astuteness ?

damn right you would .....

perhaps you can then offer other people the same courtesy ?

remember worth and value for each person is determined by any number of factors that you can't possibly even guess at ....so for me you may think £750 is a snip .... how would you know ?

I'm not going to justify my purchase of the item to people who can't get off there behinds and try it, but are prepared to make there own "fraudulent claims" [definition: intended to deceive..ie say the unit has no effect] with out any concept, knowledge or even experience of the unit. As we have seen its simply arrogant and ignorant [a very dangerous combination]to dismiss all the first hand accounts posted on this thread.

Wether you like what the unit does is not the question the question thats been raises is "does the unit do anything at all ?"

...the answer of course is in this thread, to be found in the posts by people how have heard the unit and not those by the people who have not !

Aldi are selling an ultrasonic pest scarer for £7.99 ...for those of you how suggested this may be the modus operandi....here's your chance to test your hypothesis

actually, I was round my neighbours on the weekend.

They have an ultra-sonic pet scarer. It has two settings, one for cats and dogs, and one for insects.

I can easily hear the high pitched cat and dog one, but not the insect one.

Is this where I grow a fluffy tail?!

Just reading this thread

Zanash, I was interested in how much difference the Animator makes. As you have heard it most, can you say if it makes more improvement than say your cables, or equipment supports?

I feel sure pete will be more than happy to talk to you about the animator.

Its an interesting question ....

He mentioned he would be away for a few days...i doubt he'll be long.

just returned ....

attacked by biting insects and apache helicopters !

Thats a difficult question....as its rather room Dependant as far as I can tell .....pm me if your close I'll try and get over to you ?

Pete I heard you brought this to the DIY meet.

Didn't get to meet you unfortunately but was wondering how the demo of the box went?

Borrow it and see what it does to the sound of your Hi-Fi!

This thread is going arond in circles. Try one. Peroid. If you like the results fine. If you do not move on.
You will not know the differences if any until its in YOUR SYSTEM. Everything makes a difference. So listen and determine for yourself. It is tiring listening to those who cast off a tweak without trying it. The Snake oil theory is easy. Trying it is the answer.
Zanash has a good ear, respect his opinion and give it a try. Who cares how it works. Its the end result that counts.
