I think yer right already done, i think I've made my point in the last few posts and will not be rising to his nonsense anymore.

My children, are not even as persistant as he is, and they're 3 and 9 and both female!

The Seven Songs mini-album is good too.

One of my few claims to fame is booking 23 Skidoo and Scritti Politti to play a benefit gig for Highgate Anti-Apartheid Group. I enjoyed it, even if nobody else did :)

Shame Scritti Politti turned into what they did, their early EPs are still fantastic. "Skank Bloc Bologna" and "Hegemony" especially.

I'm playing the Raincoats' first album at the moment, one of the few female groups I can think of who really rocked. Top version of the Kinks' "Lola" on it too, for maximum gender-bending lyrical oddness.

That is, I guess unintentionally, highly droll. You don't half have a talent for picking your targets, Julian!

Fox thanks for the thoughts, If i'm honest I had itended to try Mana at some point in the future, but it would have been my choice, as I saw fit, now it's unlikely out of pure pigheadidness, just coz "father bub" has said so, JW may have lost a coupla sales through bubs preaching.

James are you getting paranoid? have you thought that he's listened to it and maybe just maybe he really doesn't care that much for it.

    James my little puppy

I think you are in need of a good Hifi enema. You need a bloody good blow out, so to speak.

You have big ugly speakers mounted on ugly mana and you have the logo that JW now conceeds is a bit pipe and slippers. This is not good at all.

Remove all of your prejudices and flog the lot of it off.

You is well loaded so buy a CDS3/552/500 or 300. Mount it all on a Fraim.

This way you is having the NAIM EFFECT and your jaw will hit the floor, big grins blah blah blah. Also your missus will like it and you will get extra nookey.

    You know it makes sense.

You can then bore every bugger by ranting on about the Fraim.

    Your good friend

    Mick

One small problem. James system works superbly well. Small fly in the ointment that.

Hey, why break the common cause of slagging someone's system just 'cos you haven't heard it? That's no fun.

Yeah Paul, but for the retail cost, some £36,000, some of us expect a lot more, and I've heard it. Not saying it's not good, that would be untrue, it's just that some of us look for different things from our systems, I find that the important parts of the presentation, for me, are not portrayed as well in James' system, as they are in others I have heard, this is purely a taste thing, nothing more, I like German cars some prefer Japanese, we're all different, the reason I have a beef with James is his constant insistence that he can fix all the wrongs he can hear, the problem is I don't want them fixed, the first time I listened to James' system I was polite and genuinely went over for a social thing, to listen to music, when James made a visit to mine, he came to critique my system, and from then on has been ramming home his point of view at every opurtunity, I have subsequently listened to his again, and to be quite honest I couldn't hear what he was talking about, but hey if he likes it thats fine, I could have just humoured him I suppose, but I felt like I would be petty and proceeded to give him my honest views, just to let him know what it felt like, and to be honest I could sense his displeasure, (now being a Highly Trained Sales Proffessional, I'm pretty good when it comes to judging peoples moods when in person, hell I've been on umpteen coursses for it as well, Ieven have the certificates). However, that point I am trying to make, is that I have at no time suggested a "fix" for any (maybe on speaker placement) of the "problem areas" I identified, why should I, it sounded fine to James.
and I wish James to do the same, ie no critiques of my system, and no suggestions for a fix, oh and I'll reciprocate.

Just as constructive as most in this thread ;)

Although you,ve let the side down somewhat , you should have neatly hijacked the thread.Perhaps suggesting somebody could do with some mana would have done the trick . :D
