NOT a cheap prospect - it's something like £4-500 per speaker! More expensive than the upgrade to the Super Linear woofers, even. (Because the tweeter is a different size/shape so they have to replace the whole baffle...)

Well, I'll put you on the spot. Just how much angle iron and glass would you think necessary to get the difference in treble between the 10's and 20's :)

Seriously, how much mana will a thousand quid get you anyway? It starts make those baffles look like a bargain, no?

"It starts make those baffles look like a bargain, no?"

No. I've heard a brand-new pair of ATC 100As on their supplied stands. In comparison with the sounds I'm getting, they were crap.

I'm surprised any pair of speakers is good enough for your stands.

You are joking, aren't you? ATC actives are used by some very prestigious people who produce very well-recorded and produced music: Pink Floyd, Chandos, etc etc.

Just how many of those people do you think are using Mana - or any other fancy stand?

Maybe the new 100 wasn't familiar to you without the tinkling of glass of the clanging of iron :)

Does iron clang? I always thought it was more of a 'doink' sound

Astoria (Pink Floyd) use Mana. I wish you knew what you were talking about at times.

Yeah Bub whyy didn't you just buy equipment that sounded good without all that help :D
Because it sounds better with Mana. Un-Mana'd systems can't do dynamics properly. That's why we Mana users can play a lot louder than you without any strain or distortion.

Looking forward to hearing your system.... ;-)

So its got nothing to do with 12" drivers and 350 watts a side, BTW I'll think you'll be surprised how loud and unstrained my system is sansmana.

That there is so much disagreement about which stands "sound best" merely points to the fact that they make no difference at all. If Mana really was an "acoustic" product, its use would be considerably more widespread.

Moreover, you wouldn't be in the difficult spot of finding just one mana customer amongst the ATC users you cited.

What a load of bunk. The limiting factor is the distortion vs loudness of the speakers themselves, in that respect you have a good pair of speakers, and they work equally well on the factory stands.

Sorry James thats abosolute bollox, biggest crock of shit I've heard this year, If you wish a demonstration of how to do realistic natural dynamics without angle iron, just give us a call.
Sorry mate that is total codswallop and then some, that ones needs to go In Zero gains booby house :D
