    Hey All,

I'm new here also, my system isn't really high end really, but I enjoy it.

    Speakers: B&W DM110's
Sub: Homebrew tapped horn using an Eminence Magnum12HO driver, box tuned to 30Hz.
Marantz AV Reciever, Phonic MAX1500 (for sub), DCX2496, DEQ2496 (broken at the moment) :(

My main source is a DVD recorder which is hooked up to the AV amp, and the screen is Samsung 6 series 46". Next step is maybe an HTPC for HD video and sound... We shall see...

    Hello all!

I'm new here from Holland. I'm updating my set from a NAD system. At the moment I have the following:

    MHZS 88E cd player
    Jolida 502BRC Tube Amplifier
    Infinity Reference 61 Mk2 Speakers

The lot sound good to me, maybe could do with an investment in speaker-cable though.

    Greetz,

    Martijn

The CD player and amplifier is from sugden 21SE series. The loudspeakers are Patos symphonic II AMT, and are produced here in Norway. Cables are from chord.

    thanx :)
I am especially happy with the speakers. Not many pairs of these. Maybe 50 or so. The AMT tweeter are handmade by patos, and are only available on this speaker series. Sounds very nice.

Hope to add a origin live aurora turntable soon. Had one, sold it, never never should have. Amazing player.

    Hi Thomand

Yowzer! I like the speakers, and the stand is stunning. What make is that?

Something of an exercise in minimalism. The whole thing suits the space beautifully.

George has some nice turntables in, I look at this site every so often, I could see you with the Acoustic Signature one!...

    Hi. Thanks.
    The stand is from www.solid-tech.net.
Acoustic signature has some very nice turntables, and they sound good to. A friend of mine has one, challenger I think.

At the site you linked to, I also found a audio synthesis passion ultimate. Wow, that is one good pre amp. 2 of my friends uses this preamp, and I have had the pleasure of listening to it several times.

    hi, heres my kit :

AppleTV (Fitted with a 250gig HD with Lossless albums)
    Marantz KI63 Mk2 (Ten Years young! )
Altmann DAC (With Paul Hynes PSU)
    EAR 834T Amp
    ProAc D38 Speakers (spiked)

    Cables are:
    Chord Sig Digital
    Chord Sig Interconnects
    Chord Sig Speaker Cables
Nordost White Light Glass Optical (Apple TV to DAC)

Rack is Sound Organization - spiked and Currently sitting
on two Large Slate Slabs I used to have my Speakers on - But I Didn't like what it did to the Sound so They're Parked under the Rack :)

The Sound Panels are Swedish Snow Crash 'Lunas' - They have really sorted the Bass Problem out that I was Having!

I listen to a Very Wide Selection of Music from 70'/80's/Pop/Rock/Jazz to Modern House/Electronic/Rock & Pop

Sound Quality is very nice - and the Altmann 'De-Jitter' Circuit seems to Work well, The Apple TV is a great solution as a jukebox
cheap too - £100ish ebay second hand and £58 for the new 250 HD! ;)

Nice setup, unique! I'm considering a similar AppleTV + external HDD setup myself, but I had reservations about the noise. How noisy is the HDD when idling? And what about when reading? If I had it in my listening room, would it be audible in between tracks..?

    hi Dunkyboy,
if all sound is off you can Occasionally hear a very faint 'Click'
(about as loud as dropping a paper clip onto stone - not loud at all)
but you really have to be listening for it and i'm sure it could be completely removed
if you had better sound dampening around the Apple TV (mines glass/steel and granite :D)
or use a small Solid State HD if your streaming from another room - i'm upgrading my amp in the next few days
so when I remove everything i'll dampen it all (just for you ;) )
if you have an iPhone/iPod Touch you can completely 'hide' the apple TV and control all features wirelessly (as Opposed to the normal infared Remote it ships with)
I use this feature on my iPhone and is Really Well implemented.
