Go on then; I'll claim a "typical in room" low frequency extension of 14Hz @ -3dB.

I'd also like to put in a claim for the nicest acoustic guitar - Taylor 410E. It's a beaut - has anyone got anything nicer?

    Matt.

I concede defeat on center speaker size...

But here are a few more claims:

More kit in one rack, 4 powers, processor, DVD, digital cable box, center speaker and TV... :MILD:

More kit connected to just one outlet, all of the above, - center speaker, + RA Silencer... :JPS:

    Ah you are all women:mad:

After all, it's only them that seem to think size matters anyway.

My Rega Elas have the SMALLEST drive units for main speakers out of all you lot (4 inch), and my Rega Kytes only go down to 85Hz (I believe).

I have the most obsolete tape format in my house as well - 8track.

I use small drivers 'cos I'm not compensating for something :) Now to find someone to use it on ;)

Henryt - NACA5 has smaller conductors than that - it's just the main insulator between the cables that makes it look large. Why the hell it can't bend round corners easily is beyond me.

Not even close, domfjbrown. Nonsuch 4s have 2 inch drivers (although each one uses four of them). So don't come here boasting about your 4 inches - huh! :D

PS: Surprised you didn't know that. Obviously I haven't made as many blatantly commercial postings as I should have.

Really? If that's the case, then it must a single "conductor" per pole piece. Always thought NACA5 was multi-strand? :)

Oh yeah - forgot about the Nonsuch drivers - all the same, isn't 4x2 smaller (radiating area-wise) than 1x4?? I'm probably wrong there though!!!!

No Henry, it's multistrand, but I dont' think there's that much thickness there. Mind you, never had a set with bare wires so I'd not know ;)

Maybe we should have a poll..!

Four 2" diameter drivers have an overall effective cone area corresponding to a single 4" diameter cone. Should we call it a draw then?

It's true. I hereby downgrade my earlier claim to a mere 170-ish class A watts.

The SIA2-150 can pump out 150 Watts into 8 Ohms :slayer:

The first 100 Watts is pure class A :moony:

And yes, it does get warm after a while :inferno:

Dom, the radiating area of 4 2inch drivers exactly equals that of 1 4inch driver
